KLINGON CURSES:
Qu’vatlh – said in moments of extreme anger
toDSaH – said to another Klingon if not on best of terms
ghuy’cha’ – stronger than “Darn it!”
taHqeq – classic insult spoken to another Klingon

Ha’DIbaH – animal
Hab SoSlI’ quch! – Your mother has a smooth forehead!

SOME VOCABULARY:
nuq? – what?
nuqjatlh? – What did you say?
‘Iv? – who? whom?

Hegh – die
jegh – surrender (v.)
legh – see
vulqa’ngan – Vulcan
tera’ngan – Terran
ghoS – approach
jatlh – say, speak
jang – reply (v.)

tlhutlh – drink (v.)
Dargh – tea
Sop – eat
Ha’DIbaH – animal, meat
yuch – chocolate

Hab – is smooth
SoS – mother
quch - forehead

KLINGON PRONOUNS:
jIH – I
SoH – you
ghaH – he, she, it (beings capable of language)
’oH – it (beings not capable of language)

Pronouns are not needed in Klingon. They are used to clarify or emphasize the agents of the verb.
Example: Sop. – He/She/It eats.
Sop ghaH.He/She/It (not you or I) eats.

Because there is no verb TO BE in Klingon, pronouns can be used as a verb with a predicate noun:
tlhIngan jIH. – I am a Klingon.
vulqa’ngan SoH’a’? – Are you a Vulcan?

KLINGON VERB PREFIXES:
subject = you; object = me : cho-
subject = he/she/it; object = me : mu-
subject = I; object = you : qa-
subject = he/she/it; object = you : Du-

Dulegh. – He/She/It sees you.
mulegh tlhIngan. – The Klingon sees me.
choHoH SoH.You (and no one else) kills me.

KLINGON STORY:
Dargh tlhutlh tlhIngan. yuch Sop ghaH. Ha’DIbaH Sopbe’. tlhIngan legh tera’ngan. QIp tera’ngan. tlhIngan ghoS tera’ngan. tera’ngan legh tlhIngan. « nuqneH, » jatlh tlhIngan.

tlhIngan tIch tera’ngan.
jatlh, « taHqeq, tera’ngan jIH! bIQIp! »
